Who we are
Devworksfac, Lda. ("Devworksfac," "we," "us") is a software development studio registered in Portugal, with its registered office at Rua de Sarmento de Beires 280, 4250-448 Porto, Portugal (NIPC PT517482963). This policy explains what personal data we collect through devworksfac.com, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Portugal's Lei n.º 58/2019.
Data we collect
We collect only what a contact form, a quote request or a purchase requires:
- Contact and quote forms: name, email address, phone number (optional), company name (optional), and the project details you choose to share.
- Checkout / order form: when you buy a package, we collect your name, email address, company name (optional), VAT/NIF (optional) and any project notes you add. This is sent to us directly so we can confirm your order and issue an invoice. We don't collect or process any payment card details anywhere on this site — payment is by bank transfer against the invoice we send.
- Analytics (only after you consent): anonymised-where-possible usage data via Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, general location at country/region level, device type. Nothing loads before you accept the Analytics category in the cookie banner.
- Server logs: standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamp) kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.
Why we process it (lawful basis)
- Responding to a contact or quote request: legitimate interest in running our business and, once a project starts, performance of a contract.
- Processing a purchase: performance of a contract (delivering the package you bought) and legal obligation (invoicing, tax records).
- Analytics: consent, granted or withdrawn at any time via the cookie banner or the footer's "Cookie settings" link.
How long we keep it
- Contact and quote enquiries that don't turn into a project: kept for 12 months, then deleted.
- Client and purchase records: kept for the duration of the engagement plus the period Portuguese tax and accounting law requires records to be retained (currently 10 years for commercial and tax records).
- Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics 4's standard retention settings, which we keep at the shortest practical window.
Who we share it with (processors)
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics, loaded only after you consent.
- Our hosting provider — stores the site's files and server logs.
- Our form-handling endpoint, configured at go-live to route contact, quote and order enquiries — including checkout order details — to support@devworksfac.com.
We do not use a payment processor: orders are placed directly with us on this site, and every invoice is settled by bank transfer between you and Devworksfac. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.
International transfers
Google Analytics 4 may process data outside the EU/EEA under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable. Where any processor transfers data outside the EU/EEA, that transfer is covered by an appropriate safeguard (Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision).
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data, where we have no legal obligation to keep it.
- Restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Port your data to another provider, where technically feasible.
- Withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@devworksfac.com. We respond within one month, as required by the GDPR.
If you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Portugal's supervisory authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados) — www.cnpd.pt.
