Refund Policy

The short version

Cancel before work starts and you get a full refund. Once we've started, refunds are pro-rated against what's been delivered — not withheld, not negotiated case by case.

Fixed-price packages

• Before kickoff: cancel any time before we begin work and receive a full refund, no questions asked. If you haven't paid the invoice yet, we simply cancel the order — nothing is owed. If you've already paid it, we refund the full amount by bank transfer to the account it was paid from, within 5–10 business days.
• After kickoff: once work has started, a refund is pro-rated against the portion of the package actually delivered at the point of cancellation. For example, cancelling an audit after the review call has happened but before the written report is delivered would be refunded against the undelivered portion only.
• Deposit engagements (e.g. the MVP Build): the deposit reserves your build slot. If you cancel before the build phase begins, the deposit is refunded in full. Once the build has started, the same pro-rating principle applies to the deposit and any milestone payments made.

Scheduled sessions

Discovery calls, sprint kickoffs and other scheduled sessions can be rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or a missed session with no notice, may not be eligible for a full refund of that specific session's value.

Retainers

Monthly retainers (App Growth & Maintenance, Managed Cloud Retainer, Post-launch Iteration Retainer, Embedded Product Design, Dedicated Engineer) are cancellable per the notice period stated in your engagement's written terms — typically 30 days. You are billed for the notice period already in progress; no fee applies beyond that.

Consumers' statutory right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer under EU/Portuguese law and did not expressly request early performance at checkout (§5 of our Terms of Service), you retain the standard 14-day withdrawal right under DL n.º 24/2014 in addition to the terms above.

How to request a refund

Email support@devworksfac.com with your order reference (shown on your confirmation page and email). We confirm the refund amount in writing before processing it.
